I have a 1992 Ranger that was 4.0 from factory and now has a 4.0 from a 94 explorer with the explorer computer.

The truck is Bogging down under acceleration and stalls almost everytime I come to a stop.

It is throwing 3 codes.
Code 565- Canister Purge 1 (Solenoid Circuit Failure)
Code 557- Low speed pump relay (Primary Circuit Fault)
Code 542- Fuel Pump Open (Bad ground or always on)

I was wondering what does this all mean? It really doesn't seem like the engine is getting enough fuel.

it could be a fuel pump issue...before i had my ranger i had a 95 escort that was doing the same thing except it wasnt throwing codes at me...try a new fuel filter first before you rip out the fuel pump...that solved my escorts problem and its worth a shot because a new filter never hurts a car
