what would you guys do level 4'' lift or prerunner setup?

 

4" lift and some 33's

 

SAS and 38s

 

i wish i could do an sas but shes only a 2wd :(
and im seriously thinking about the 4'' and 33's but theres just something about the prerunner that im interested in

 

umm, thats even MORE reason to do a SAS!

 

but for me to do an sas wouldnt i have to have 4wd
if not wouldnt i have to run a transfer case and front driveshaft and all the 4wd stuff if not please enlighten me to how i could go about doing this im interested

I'd say prerunner if you can afford to put a long travel kit on and cage it.. But since most can't, just lift it.

 

yea i cant do the cage thats to much i need just bolt in or only a little fab worki just tured 16 so im pushed to be able to aford the lift and 33's.
anymore info on a sas is welcome im willin to wait to be able to aford it if someone can give me the needed info also willing to learn just need the info

prerunner, lift it 14" in the front and lower it 6" in the rear. Its what all the cool kids are doing these days

 

lol, if it was mine and had a dailydriver, i'd prerunner but thats just me :)

Umm, a prerunner kit? What you would get is a long travel kit and that will be probably around a min, of 3 grand plus at least a 1000 to install it if you don't have very good fab skills. And that would just be for the front end, if you wanted to put a long travel kit in the rear end it will be around the same amount but your gonna have to put ALOT of work into making a bed cage and I don't even know if you can install a long travel kit without caging your whole truck.

i was in the same predicament(think i spelled wrong). i just did a lot of research. i got a 99 ranger 2wd. the best bang for the buck is a kit called Doetsch Suspenion. they offer a 6in lift 3in coil 3in spindles for like 1100 for the 99 rangers.heres the link http://www.doetsch-shocks.com/9.asp. Zach the man who runs rangers recommended it to me and said its a reliable kit. My plans for mine is a locker and gear for the rear,33's, and the suspension lift. I already have a body lift. thats pretty much just for tire clearance. Just some advice. hope this helps some.

 

id really like a SAS but i dont have the three required things for it (time talent and MONEY)
I really like the thought of about 4-6'' of lift with 33's so i think thats what im gonna do.
What do you guys think of wheel spacers, my dad says if i do a lift he wants me to put wheel spacers so it will keep my center of gravity a little lower but then agin my dad dont really know a what hes talkin about.So all help is apreciated.

What you should do I think is think about it, are you gonna be having your Ranger for a long time? Is it really worth it to lift it and pump lots of money into an older truck at your age? I personally think no, I wanted to lift my Ranger when I was younger but now I don't want to. I am going to sell it and get a full size truck and keep it stock because I don't need a lifted truck.

 

i only payed 500 for it ive got like 1800 in it now and im planing on havein it for a good while at least untill im 20-21 cause i jus rebuilt the old motor so if this one blows i got another just about ready to go
so im planing on haveing this one for awhile

 

im on the same bus mike...im gonna lift mine with a 3" BL and just run 31x10.5r15 tires...the tires should help a little extra since they are taller and they will be wider so that will help.

i heard that wheels spacers are death doughnuts bc they can snap off...just my .2 cents

 

i'd just lift it and run some 33's..

i got an "old" 1993 ranger as well and im going to lift it prolly 6 inches suspension and 3 inch bodylift and run 35's eventually as there is plenty of mountains out here to run on.. but im also 4x4 too. but for now i was just thinking of getting a 3 inc body lift and run some 33's.. ive had 31's on my truck and they are already but dont really give ground clearance and i can fit them at stock height.

just my .02... lift it and some 33's.. and then put a more "aggressive" front bumper on it cuz stock sucks... haha.. or even custom make a bumper. i like the looks of the 93-97 rangers without the front bumper on them.. it looks cool!!

someone should photoshop his truck with a 6 inch lift and 33's just to give you an idea of what it would look like.

 

dude, you might be able to do a SAS cheaper or about the same price as a 4" lift, although im not sure how much 4" lifts are for 2wd rangers.. If you do the work yourself, You should be able to do a sas for no more than 1500 bucks..

 

a 4'' lift is only like 360-400 bucks depending on where you get it
