Flat Black Paint On The Truck?

Hey what would ya'll think about my truck painted Flat Black? NOT PRIMER BUT FLAT BLACK WITH CLEAR COAT I think it would look BADA$$! I have seen some Lambo's painted that way and other high end cars.

Those are all satin, flat looks like ******* and I've only seen true flat black on one car.

You wouldn't need a full repaint since your truck is black, all you would need is a satin clear painted over what you have now.

I am thinking about it down the road. My paintjob looks like **** from offroading so since I am dropping it I might do it.

I would go with John Deer Blitz Black. It is the best black i've ever seen. Pretty cheap too if you have a gun to spray...

Flat black primer..........or black krylon paint. Primer is alittle chalky but from some of the previous picks krylon will give you a decent look and its easier to take care of then primer.

I was gonna get my powerdome hood painted Sating Black, and that stuff is not cheap. Just as much as gloss paint or higher -- I guess its because of skill it takes to spray it on the car.

krylon does make Stain Black in a can, looks good too.

the reason it looks good on those lambos and mercedes etc is because those are real matte black paint jobs professionally done.....those paint jobs are stupid expensive

It takes ALOT of skill so properly spray a car in satin/flat. Its really hard not to get Zebra stripes with any paint that is flat.
As long as you trust your buddies to do a proper job, I say got for it in satin. Flat black looks like a chalk board IMO

agreed I have done a couple paintjobs like that and it is retardedly hard. Although black is the easiest matte color to shoot. White is the worst!!!
