Icon14 Busted!

I was driviNg down the 405 through long beach yesterday, I had left my station in Carson to head down to San Diego to pick up some Fire dept. Applications. Had some nurses with mealong for the road trip so I could take the carpool lane. Well, I was going the flow of traffic, you know having a good time and not paying attention. Well CHP found me and pulled me over. Before he even came to the window he walked up and down my truck a few times giving it a look over. Apparently I was doing 90mph ( I didn't even think I could do 90 anymore! My speedo can barely get over 80...) but that's what they said. I should have asked to see their gun. But I also got cited for my window tint, my tail lights, and my front license plate. And a speeding ticket doing 90. Well this just gives me the chance to take my tint off and go darker, and respray my tails. Thanks CHP, I love you...

yup I was just gonna say that. If you had been pulled over by a Sheriff he would have talked to you about the weather and sent you on your way

Yeah he said the cop was being a dick, but he wasnt saying he shouldnt have gotten the ticket. I love the police. Yeah ive gotten tickets in the past but each time i deserved it. Most of the cops ive dealt with (city of Norwalk has its own Sheriff station) they are cool guys that will often just BS with ya a little, and let you go as long as you arent being an *******.

Dude. Why go darker on the tint? That's why I didn't wave to you the one day I saw you on the freeway. I didn't know who you were.

everyone was speeding, so it sucks I got singled out.
Fix it tickets are fixable no problem there. Only a matter of time.

Yeah he was being a dick! No need for him to act the way he did when I wasn't acting like a dousche. But I guess he just treated me like the people who don't respect them. His partner made him look even worse.

lol yeah.
I don't think its impossible to get out of a CHP pullover, it's just more unlikely. My buddy who drives a 92 RS Camaro was pulled over for speeding by a CHP Camaro and they talked about their cars and then he let him go. lol

No fix it ticket?

I got pulled over in my 68 galaxie when i had it ONCE.

i had

no front bumper
no front turn signals
no rear bumper
no back glass
no outside rear view mirrors
turn signals didn't work (old Ford dont blink when you have a lamp out and without the front ones in, none blinked)
modified exhaust (dumped 2 chamber Flowmasters)
no windshield wipers
License plate was ziptied on to the rear body panel.
no license plate lights

What did i get?

"You know you can't be out here like this."

"Get it taken care of. Have a good day"

I eventually put the back bumper on the car and mounted the license plate properly after my ziptied plate was stolen. I then made a side exit exhaust. Then i added Nascar style slicks to the back of the car and drove it around like that and never got harassed again in the car before i sold it.

Cops can be car guys too. Often times they are and if you arent a ***** to them, they will often cut a lot of slack.
