trading off the ranger =]

well i havent posted in a while and i finnally got a deal on a f-250.

the guy wants to trade out right because of better gas mileage.

tommorow i will be the owner of a:
1997 f-250
460 v8

Big mistake fella. I have a 97 f250 7.3L powerstroke and the motor is the only good part of the truck. Front end will eat up any tire in no time! Cambers get all out of wack especially when u put an oversized tire on. Just keep an eye on that front end and you should be OK but its pricy to get it set back.

Your springs are most likely just shot. They wear out and start sagging which makes the beams raise up and giving the tire negative camber. I also don't see how a oversized tire has anything to do with camber?

Mines fine, the guy before me had it adjusted but about 4 of my friends have the 250 TTB front end and all of them have wacked out front ends, its gonna happen eventually is all im sayin, just keep an eye on it. And gas is gonna go real quick but you'll have lots of power so even trade seems doable

i'm pretty sure that they didn't offer the ttb on the 250 and bigger. i was like 99% sure that it's a sfa under there.

Nope. Only the 350 had the SFA (Dana 60), the 250 was the twin beam (or w/e the hell they're called) Dana 50

oh. my bad. if that's the case, i wouldn't go bigger then 35s on that ttb. i was on a bronk forum back in the day and i had worn 35s. from what i got from that site, was that ttb doesn't like anything bigger then 35s and hard wheeling.

Good advice. I know people who try to run 37's and bigger on the stock trucks with a ttb and they go through front ends like Rosie O'donnel does food.
