Ok guys, I am looking to freshen up my front end a bit. This is how the truck looks now:





I have a two options here: 1) get the chrome bumper for the front and put it under the existing grille. 2) Replace current grille with my Edge grille and install new bumper. You think the truck would look better with or without the bugshield? Also, I want to incorporate my "Can you see me now?" somewhere on the truck. Any ideas on where to put it if I remove the bugshield? Possibly the tailgate? I am definitely getting clear corners no matter what I end up doing with the grille. Thanks for the thoughts.

 

take off bugsheild, get rif off all that chrome crap on the front. put in edge grille and black headlightsinstead of clear. OR if you do go the clear route, just get a set of 06' corners. then ur done!

 

Yeah. The chrome definately stands out way too much. But as what to do about it, I dont know. lol

 

I'd say ditch the bug guard and chrome grille for a yellow one. Then put a chrome bumper on it.

I sense a hint of sarcasm, ha ha. It is kind of funny, what you don't see in those pictures is that the truck now has a chrome bumper lol. How about repaint my faded honeycomb on the edge grille, take off the bugshield and have some custom paintwork on the tailgate saying: "Can you see me now?"

 

I'd say get a painted edge grille and headlight mod. Its your choice to keep the bug guard...

 

I like the original edge grill better but it would help if you would paint the out of place chrome under the headlights and maybe black out the center of the gril. Im with everyone else and vote to loose the bug guard.

 

burn that ugly *** chrome grille, no bug shield, and no visor.

Then you better be careful goin into the hood. The brothers down there have some strange interest in chrome.

 

LOL, I thought you were talking about the actual hood, on the truck, you know. Then I got it. I know what you are saying though. I don't go into those areas, so I should be ok. I think I am going to be a bit different on this and try the all chrome front first and see how I like it. After all, that is what matters at the end of the day.

I didn't read the rest of the comments so it was probably covered, but if it were mine I would ditch that bug shield, or at least the writing on it, ditch the stripes down the side, paint the chrome grille yellow, get clear corners and possibly black them out with the headlamps or leave them as is. And get rid of that thing over the windshield. Then it would look clean! Too much pointless clutter IMO

 

first all chrome? my 99' ranger has been all chrome, chrome rims, chrome front and back bumpers, chrome grille, chrome everything

almost and remember these are just thoughts that I am thinking about now, later they WILL change… I would do these if the truck was mine but it isn’t it is yours so do it like you like it and screw the rest.

Writing on the Bug shield - GONE !
Chrome - GONE !
Stripes on sides - GONE !
Replace the Headlights and the Corner with the black ones, not black-outs but the ones with the black inside.
SideBars - Black or GONE !
The Visor - Is that for the older model, there is something about it that looks different ?
The front Valance w/Fogs - Gone, replace with Tubular Bumper
