ok, i don't know about everyone else but i just love the look of the 5 cab marker lights my only problem is my ranger is an 09 and i have no desire to start punching hole sin it yet. so on that note and with the release of ford's new svt raptor i got the crazy idea of mounting 3 led lights across the center of the grill and let the side marker lights take up the other that makes 5 amber lights across the front of my truck the only problem is how can i wire these to the truck i'm thinking maybe to the fogs but would like a second opinion.

 

to the parking lights. thats how ive got my lights on the roof. i just ran the wire to the roof box.. oh and the mirror lights are conected to the same

 

I'm just going to add this second question in here instead of starting a new thread, first off I'm sorry for asking this and it'll probably sound stupid but which lights do you call the parking lights, are you talking about the signal lights or something else. and on a second note i recently saw that mirror light mod and loved it however does anyone know if you can run the wires on an 06+ mirror so that i can put the lights on the sides of the mirrors instead of underneath.

 

lol not sure if u guys called it same in english thought yes.. parking lights are the ones that goes on when u tun on the lights of the truck but not the headlamps... do i explain myself?

i guess i can put the light on the side of the mirror but it more easy for them to brake there i guess. but there should be no prob setting them there

 

There wil be two wires going to the parking light that will have power on them, one when the parking lights are on or running lights and one that will have the directional signal on it. The color of the wires I am not sure of, sorry.
Find the wire for the Parking lights (use a probe) and connect to it, all should be OK especially if the new lights are LEDs.

Connecting to the fog lights will on newer rangers turn off with the high beams and I do not think that is what you want.

The purpose of the five lights is clearance and marker lights so being in the grill is a little far and away from where they should be like on the roof; these lights will serve no purpose but decoration.
