yea, yall read right....i sold my ranger and did the full size mod....just came time for and in need of a full size truck....sold her for $11,000 and i couldnt really turn it down at that price.

and i know i am going to get ragged on for what i got to replace it but it was a good deal considering the mods and all and its a super nice truck....i really wanted a newer f150 but just couldnt afford one right now...maybe in a few years or so

the replacement:
(6" susp, 3" body, 37x13.50 toyo m/ts, 18x9 eagle alloy 197's, 4.88 gears, kenwood full audio system, power everything, 5% tint, toolbox)

 

not a big fan of the wheels but i like it otherwise. what motor?

i agree, those wheels are not my first choice either. thank god you have 4.88s. that little motor would be workin' it fo sho.

I agree about the wheels. The 5.3 isn't what I'd call a little motor though.

If you like it, that's all that matters. I like the truck, but if you can't afford new wheels it's not the end of the world

I like the 5.3's. My friend has an 03 Z71 sierra with the 5.3 and dual corsa exhaust and shes FAST for a truck.

 

I'd take that for sure, I even like the wheels. Looks like a good trade up, even if it is a chevy.

One of my friends has a 2000 z71 and alot of stuff is starting to break. (just rolled 100k)

 

wheels look alot better in person trust me!...ive pleased with the trade up and yes the 5.3 is a stout motor for sure...its a step up from the ranger IMO

ride quality is 2 times better than my ranger and it is just more comfortable in general inside and all which i what i need at this time....who knows i may buy another ranger in the future and start on another build project...im still very much a ford guy!!!

Wheels aren't that bad. Look pretty good on that truck. If i had a choice they wouldn't be my first choice. Other than that the truck is pretty badass for a Chevy.

 

I'm not hating. I like big wheels.
