They are and have been available since 2006 in every country BUT the US and Canada, and they couldn't be imported, safety issues and emissions requirements
Mazda BT-50 was first in 2006, then Ford did the T6 in 2011
In 2019 we will see these in North America, but only with 4cyl turbo gasoline
Diesels don't sell well in North America, they do everywhere else but here, lol.

Those are slick looking too. It's a shame they aren't doing the diesels... yet. I would imagine they would need to bring a 4 cyl diesel to compete with chevy's diesel. I know a lot of people who would get one in a snap if they were available. They would be great for towing. I think after 2019 when they see how well the new rangers sell they will modify the plant production and give people what they want.
