Keep checking the nuts though. Since you reused the same u-bolts , the threads are stretched and will be prone to loosen , no matter how well you torqued them.

 

Ah, that's how mine looked a few years ago, now they're all rusted and nasty looking. Enjoy those traction bars, they work really well.

 

yeah i like my duff bars too, for the price you cant beat em

 

They're aweeome! After my SAS they weren't installed and there was some axle wrap going on. Now that they're back on and it makes a huge difference. Plus cornering I can go faster as they seem to act as sway bars a little too.

 

Ya I am pretty impressed, with just the 10 minutes of test driving it.. over bumpy roads, crapy train tracks and yes, even cornering.. the rear is ALOT more solid.. Thanks DUFF

did they send you both brackets for 8.8 and 7.5?

 

Ya the did.. I was kind of confused.. lol.. except I don't know if it was for a 7.5.. because the bracket that I DIDN'T use, was a larger distance between the u-bolt holes.. and it had 3 holes up to for bar adjustment... I assumed it was for a Bronco..

Yeah any block lifted rear should have a some sort of traction bar. The difference is insane. I know I notice a HUGE difference, now that my traction bar is off... Truck wanders a lot more with it off.

 

What do these things run and where ya get em? I know, google is my friend, but I'm lazy, just hook me up. haha. I have stock 04 4x4, and it feels like I'm gonna tip when I go around turns, not to mention getting the sh*t shook out of me hitting bumps. Looks easy enough to install too.

Are they needed for non lifted Rangers? Or is it just overkill?

 

They aren't really neeeded for non lifted rangers, but they help. Your axle wrap wouldn't be anywhere near that. But they are good to have

I've got the same ones on my truck, they're worth it.

 

Could the larger spacing bracket be for the large tube axles with 31 spline shafts ?

Oh ya, add lock nuts to the U-Bolts to hold everything tight.

 

will these traction bars work for any size leaf spring lift? like right now i got stock leafs, with belltech shackles and my truck is bouncy as hell over train tracks and bumpy roads. Im planning on getting the superlift kit soon which i believ includes 4"blocks? just wanna make sure these will work, i didnt know much about them before this thread but if they help my rear end performance wise i will look into them.

Im just wondering if its worth it though. I have stock blocks, and i think their only like 1.25" or something? and with the 4" superlift kit im sure it will be alot bouncier?
