the thing i like about the rat-cage is that there is a pin on each foot. pull the pin out, and the whole carrier comes out.. that solves your bed space prob. and there are places to mount locks on each foot..

I have a strip of Berber carpet on the floor of my truck, goes from front to back and from wheel well to wheel well. Works for now, someday I'd like to get real bed carpet in there.
