5 years, 3,000 miles and 3 trips in the dirt equals great tread lol.

Well I was getting a click or knocking sound from what I thought was the transfer case. Well when I checked it out it was really the front driveshaft had developed some play where it connects to the transfer case. Ok, no big deal. The threads were rusted up where they were exposed on the back side and the bolts from the superlift shaft are longer than stock so it was tight to get them snug when I put it on. I didn't have the right size tap to clean them up at the time so I just got them to what I thought was tight.

So I bought the correct tap and went to take the driveshaft off. During that one bolt broke. Little bit of cussing. Well after drilling the broken bolt out and trying a few times with no luck I figured I would let it soak and run the tap thru and clean up the threads. About the 3rd or 4th hole I was cruising along no big deal and snap. Tap broke. Lots of cussing then.

Got it all out but damn, what was supposed to be quick and easy turned into a pain in the ***.

Sounds like a rough day. I always thought that cv cup style design was a stupid idea.

Long time no talk. Glad to see you kept your ranger on the side.. I probably would have if it was 4x4 in the first place, and if it wasn't beat to complete crap from my teenage days.

What up! Yeah no one seems to want to buy it for 30k so I've just kept it lol. I'll get itch to work on it every now and then.

While I'm here, I've added an ultraguage and I put my shackles back in and set them at the middle setting since my leaf springs settled a little more than I wanted. But that is all I've done.

Haha not much man, finishing my last semester in Lubbock (took me forever) then heading back to Houston.

Love that King Ranch you have. Bought an Ecoboost F150 over the summer, so playing with that a little bit but I won't be doing any major mods. Going to level it out, do Rach Hands in the front and rear, and a few other little things. Not a 2015, but still got it brand new for a good deal.

Nice, I forgot you were in Lubbock. That's where I've bought my truck and wife's expo. I have a buddy that works at pollard.
