That is where Jake graduated from and myself and James will be doing the same here in a few months, realize Greeley is a sh*tty town and UNC I am really not that fond of but if you are stoked I wont dampen your spirits.

I say go to CSU if you are trying to come to CO

UNC is kinda ****ty, but there are a few (very few) good things about the area. Good places to shoot, hunt, kinda close to the mountains, exc. But CSU has all that and a whole lot more. Plus Ft. Collins is badass

Ya, I've read all the bad things about Greeley, but we are going to school at UNC and want to live close to campus and not spend a lot on gas. We were looking at Fort Collins and Loveland, but it seems like the drive is too far to commute to school full time and coming from socal we aren't looking to get involved in high traffic areas. It's also our first time living alone and we don't have a lot of money. Were going to try it out there for a year and if it doesn't work out we can always move to Fort Collins or Loveland.

UNC is not bad. Its a great school that will give you a good education.

LOL. I wouldn't call it "great," but I suppose I was a bit harsh when I said UNC is "****ty." I mostly meant just Greeley in general, and not the school itself. But UNC could be better. There are some nice parts though. They have a great gym. The Denver Broncos used to train here before they built Dove Valley.

But yeah, back to the town. Greeley has a few nice spots...over on the west side of town. But there are for sure ghetto areas...pretty close to the school. Jake and I have had multiple cases of theft. My truck being broken into twice, and an old house Jake used to live in was broken into over Christmas break one year.

It's definitely going to be a change from living in the second safest city in the nation my entire life. it's good to know the school is at least good though.

When I tell you this I am really serious.

.... By a gun. Hell buy a few guns.

I am telling you this for your safety. Not that you are going to need to use it but you said you are coming from the second safest city in the nation to one that is WAY down the list.

Get a pistol or a home defense shotgun and it will make you and your significant other sleep better at night knowing that you can protect yourself.

Ya honestly, I was just thinking that today. I'm 21 so how do I go about getting one? Is it as simple as walking in a store and buying one or do I need a permit?

Once you get a Colorado drivers license its as easy as walking in a store and buying one.

I dont want our comments to make you worry. We just want you to know that in some places and at night you need to be more alert and concious of your surroundings.

Espically your vehicles and your house. Just keep them locked and all valuable goods out of site and you wont have any problems.

A gun is something that is good to have. I always had one in my car and house when I went to shcool there. Just mainly for the fact of "what if".

It would be good to get your G/F some mace or pepper spray she can put in her purse.

Not when you are a golfer. I go golfing 10 hours a day in the summer. It is tough to golf 1-3 times in the winter. IT SUCKS
