I have been looking at that Radio for a little Bit now Bill 04lvl2 just installed one in his f-150

looking at the non-dvd on you can get around $390

ya never had a use for DVD in a vehicle so why not save a little more lol.. i think i might get it for my birthday been asking for just cash for my birthday lol

You can put movie files on the SD card and your iPod too, not really any need for DVDs.

I have seen a few out there that you pay for. they come with live traffic and weather

So that's why I was asking

Oh it has that too, its called MSN Direct where you can look up movie times, traffic, weather, etc. It came with a 3 month free trial, after that its like 20 for 6 months or something. The GPS navigation is totally free though.

looks good. I love my avic, just hate how you have to wait for it to load everytime you turn your truck on

Nice HU, what had to be done for the install? In other words, did you have to modify the opening (bezel)?

on average i would say about 40 secs. If you turn the truck off while listening to the radio or cd, it will continue to play as soon as you turn the truck back on. But if you are listening to something pluged into the usb port you have to listen to silence till the system gets done loading.

Do you have the 2.0 update? They made it load 50% faster, mine loads in about 20 seconds now.

Yeah you do, at the top and bottom you have to trim the little lip off of the back. Its super easy to do, nothing that you can tell from the front too.

I checked about 3 months ago and mine had the current update. I will have to check again
