Yep, it is a 1978 750F with the F2 motor. That son-of-a was heavy.

They were a good bike. My grandpas has a racing kit in it. It has been on the street since 1986. We tried getting it running but couldn't. The carbs are really messed up on it and the tank is terrible inside. It is always great to park something for 20 years with a full tank of gas. We tore the carbs apart and really cleaned them but no luck.

didnt strap it down good enough or good enough straps... only need 2 with a bike but usually go over kill with 4...

put the bike in the center with the front wheel up to the front of the bed. strap to the corners attached to the forks... crank it down good so the suspension compresses.. it will not move at all.. if you do 4 point you can kick the damn thing it aint going anywhere..

it helps to have someone sitting on it when you strap it down pushing down on the suspension, i have done it by myself sitting on it and straping it down can be done just not fun

It makes me mad though that I could not get it to run. Usually I can get almost anything to run.

Ya I know. It was such a pain. The butterfly valves were frozen for a while. we completely cleaned out the needles and bowls. Got the floats all cleaned up. Tried running gas through it and they all just kept leaking everywhere like none of the floats were working.

i am really interested in picking up a CB750, but i can only find CB550s around me. The 750s are an awesome bike.

What are the plans for this guy after you get it running?

I don't know if we are going to even get it running. Probably let it sit another 20 years.

if you get air ride sacks and pump them up there is no sag in your rear and stability in steering is the same as normal
