Cranked the tbars and took off the sidesteps!

Today I cranked my tbars and took off the sidesteps, Looks alot better now. I cranked the passenger side 6 turns and the drivers side 6 1/2 turns. The rear (both sides) measured about 35 1/4", the front measured around 32", and now the front passenger side measures 35" and the front driver side measures 34 3/4"

I also took off the step bars looks better I think without them.
So I lifted the front about 3", do I have to worry about ball joints and stuff now? I will get an alignment soon, I will go to firestone and get their lifetime alignment so I cant get another one wen I get new tires after tax refunds :)

I was going to do 32x11.5 someone has a set on craigslist (just tires) for $400, but their 15" so I would need to get some 15" rims too and don't have the money, especially after I get the alignment

Looks good! I cranked mine, but will be backing them down once I get some lift spindles. The added ride height is nice, but off road performance suffers pretty decently.

The drivers side is 1/2" lower than the passenger side, is that normal? I know it should be lower but how much?

Looks tens times better now! But yeah i agree with the bigger tires thing. I did this to my truck over the summer and ended up lowering it back down to stock height because i cant get new tires anytime soon and it just looked ridiculous with the small tires on there. I vote for going with #1 bars and shackles and going with 33's. Thats what ill be doing one of these days.

32x11.5 will fit with a tbar crank, 33's will rub without some trimming.

And I have #1 torsion bars but if you crank them higher than 2.5 to 3" then your putting too much stress on the ball joints (so I have read).

And I got the alignment done (i bought lifetime alignment from firestone and it was WAY out of wack, the camber on the front right tire is still off by .4 degrees, I need to get a camber kit put in and then bring it back to them.

I want to get some 32x11.5 just waiting till some come around on craigslist.

Go with 265/75/16, they don't make a 32x11.5/16

I an alignment will not help the stiffness of the ride, but I honestly can not notice a difference on the road, off road its stiff, but the ranger suspension sucks anyways for offroading.

All an alignment does is set the camber, caster and toe angles of your front wheels so the vehicle doesn't pull to one side or cause uneven tire wear.

Go play Gran Turismo and play around with suspension settings. You'll see what I'm talking about.

Yes that's normal. It's to compensate for the weight of the gas tank. As long as you turned both of the bolts the same amout of times you'll be okay. If you tried to make them the same, you're all messed up now.

Well I turned the driver side an extra half crank to make it a little bit higher, but I got it aligned afterwards so I should be fine now right?
