Outer Banks Trip
Of course I didn't take nearly as many pictures as I would have liked, but that's because I didn't have enough time :(
Stopped and stayed the night in Virginia Beach at First Landing State Park. Got up and watched the sunrise, drove down to Kitty Hawk and down the Outer Banks and took the ferry to Orcacoke Island. Stayed the night out there, got hammered by rain/wind from tropical storm Danny at night, and watched the sun pop out of the clouds in the morning. Then I drove up to Banner Elk SC, met with Trent and Cortney for a quick dinner, took a few pictures, drove home through rain/fog and pulled in the garage around 1:30am.
I need to drive this route again with my with and much more time. Next time I want to get down to Charleston, Savannah, and check out the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Yes it's off of Shore Drive. The weather was terrible Thursday night! I hid in the cab of my truck for 30-45 minutes while I watched lightning strike all around and people drown their cars in flooded streets, lol.
