DWB ranger lifted (pics/video)

Well its happened, the lowly 2002 DWB ranger XLT has become a semi legitimate truck with the addition of 3" Doetsch spindles, 2" Ground Force shackles, and 32x11.50r15 BFG A/T tires.... now all on the truck together :)

I installed the shackles (unfortunately only at the 1" setting.. for now) with the help of a friend today and finally got her aligned resulting in the need for some pictures. I went to the usual trail Cameron (poptart) showed me some time ago and ya... enjoy

a VIDEO :)

and the aftermath

Let me know what you guys think!

That's all I was thinking also. A couple hours of cleaning to splash around in that puddle? Make it count. All that aside, nice truck man. I would say put the shackles to a different setting to get the *** end up a little bit more. Otherwise it's looking real good.

why didnt you go to the 2" setting? if its the exhaust, you have to bend the hanger on the pipe to pull it back in. dont forget to double check your brakes in about a week. they are known for losening.

not sure why, but it doesnt seem like its as tall, i have almost the exact same setup. great looking truck though! heres a picture of mine, so you can see what im talking about. maybe im just smokin something haha. i can say though, a+ job by doetsch for the parts, ive BEAT on mine, gotten the front end in the air, and never had a problem!

Still riding on the stock 83,000 mile shocks right now, dont want to go to hard. Plus going towards the camera I didn't want to cover it in mud, which still kinda ended up happening haha

Its raining and will be all weekend... i'll be fine. See above.

Believe me I want the truck as level as possible, but long story short I dont have ANY tools whatsoever (no family member is into cars that lives out her in cali) so I had to have my friend help me do the install at the shop he works at. The leafs were torqued a little to the side so when we put the screw through one whole we couldn't push the leaf level to get it through the second. Plenty of easy solutions, but we didn't think of any at the time and were really frustrated so we just did the second to last. Took us an hour for one side, 5 minutes the other (never done a shackle lift before). Im not happy about and will be trying to put it through the last hole whenever it stops raining with another friend.

Patience is key my friend, took me 4 months to find the right tires ultimately landing practically brand new 32" bfg's for $300...

hahah ya it needed it bad. The other day I went with some friends in my truck and a 240sx, drifted around a bit and went offroading and go it even more.

(excuse the retarded pose my friend insists on doing in every shot I ever take with my truck hahaha)

than about 30 min. of hardcore pressure washing and a good couple hours of actual washing and you get:

Im going to hit it with some compound right now so it should be in its prime when im done. I absolutely suck at detailing so it wont be great, but hey its good enough for me coming from such filth lol.

Looks good.

I have the patience just nothing ever shows up around here and when it does its gone by the time I go to get it. Took me almost 2 years to find a powerdome and about the same to find my 32's.

warped rear drum. drive down the road at 20. start pushing your parking brake on untill you feel the truck start to slow. if theres a jerking feeling, you need rear drums. dont drive with it on for too long.

Do you use craigslist? If so I've found my best deals (not counting tires) through vague titled listings, like "ford parts" or something like that.

We got the drums off and they looked fine, nothing abnormal. The sound has long since stopped so we're pretty sure it was just something in there that ended up getting grinded down by the brakes.

For real, but not because my drums are warped hahaha.

3.73's and 32" tires really isnt bad for street driving, its just highway with giant hills that sucks. 4.30ish gears would be perfect for what I want, to bad afaik those dont exist =/
