Finally, pics of my 2008 Ford Edge!

I have had a Ranger for over 10 years so the Edge is a nice change. It may not be for everyone, but I love it!

Looks good dude! That new greenish tag is fruity though lol. I'd have to stick with the old style.

Yeah, the new plates take some getting used to. Not sure what they were thinking with the color.

I think they're pretty nice. I couldn't push myself to drive one until i was older since im only 21 now but driving a ranger for 10 years and going to this is definitely an upgrade for sure!

Pretty sure KLC won't worry too much about it rusting.

Haha, nope, not worried about any rusting issues, especially with the climate here.

Thanks! Before my 2008 Ranger, I also had a 1990 Ranger XLT 2wd that was a dark red metallic color. If I was smart I wouldn't have bought my 2008 Ranger. It served me well, but I should have bought a used full size at the time. Would have been cheaper and met more of my needs. I didn't take any of that in to consideration at the time though.

Thanks! Not really, other than a few basics. Not much you can do to them, or that I want to. I have dumped tons of money in every vehicle I have ever owned for mods. It's time for me to just enjoy a vehicle for what it is.

Great, I'm happy with the performance. It's definitely better than a Ranger, but it's no sports car either. Although it does handle better than a regular SUV, like an Explorer.

If he goes with a 2010 or older Explorer get the 4.6L. The 4.0L is underpowered for the size and weight of the vehicle and they tend to be noisy under hard acceleration. My Mom has had both the 4.0L and 4.6L versions. Right now she has a loaded 2009 Ford Explorer Limited 4.6L 4x4.

You can't go wrong with either an Edge or Explorer. I considered both as well.

he already said if he gets an explorer it is going to be a v8...they have really good pickup and about the same mileage as the v6

Yeah man, that thing was really sweet. It would be pretty hard to part with. It's a nice vehicle you picked up, but what a difference.

Thanks! It is a big difference, but that's what I wanted. I've had a Ranger for over 10 years so it was time for a change. Although if Ford would have brought a four door Ranger to the U.S. I most likely would still have one.
