Im back in the family!

soooooo found a guy interested in trading my tiburon for his explorer straight across.......so i did it. only catch was i had to drive like 11 hours and 750 miles to go get it lol

so i went from a 03 Hyundai Tiburon with 160k miles

to a 01 Ford Explorer Sport with 113k miles and a few dings/dents and a heater that doesnt seem to be working but whatever.

im happy. now its time for my prerunner project!!

Nice deal…

The heater, if the heater is the same as the Ranger’s setup, it miht be only the controls.
There is a resistor pak on the heater housing in the engine bay area, it burns up and needs replacing.
some say it is only corrosion on the connectors of the resistor pak that do it, might clean them up first but $20 will get you a new one.

Luck

scrambler it could also be the blend door actuator...it caused my heat to come out cool air....the motor likes to fry....got it from napa for like 40 bux...its right on top of the heater behind the glove box

lol i knew that was your problem, just order one from napa...usually cheapest...gotta use a 8 mm socket to undo the 3-4 bolts on it..then just swap the new one it

I would have done the Ranger LT and saved the Explorer for the SFA. Mainly due to the short wheel base and wheeling the Explorer. Easier to wheel and not like driving a limo on tight trails. Congrats on the project and let the fun begin!

i always liked those and the previous generation in 2 doors. the only thing i didn't like was the *** end always looks lower then the front. due to the way the wheel wells are or the possibility that the springs are sagging.

the right stance and tires/wheels are gonna make it.
