Truck looks good, nice pics.

I take it you have both the engine and trans cooled by the same radiator ?
As you are doing separating them will help.

Great work been following the build or a while.

Luck on the cooling.

no trans and engine are separate. im talking about engine oil. it needs a air cooler.

Oh… funny I got the idea that you were going to separate them.

So what you are saying is the air flow is too restricted.

Good enough, great truck, a little jealous, thanks for the pics they are good and not to leave out the young lady, she is very cute.
If she likes wheeling she is a keeper.

I dont think there is enough fuel in the tank to make it to town, let alone work. But that would wash it off nicely.

well it is separate its jsut the oil is setup like stock, which it stays cool when just running down the highway but too much idling and the EOT starts to rise.

oh and thanks on both accounts.

Glad to see all your hard work and money come to life! Hope you get the coolant and oil issues figured. Planning on some pusher fans?

Is the Ranger still "street legal" there? Looks like something fun to take your female companion out to a classy dinner with to have someone valet park it . . .

More pics and some video when you can please!

I have a puller fan on there now and its getting the job done for the most part. Its the oil, which all I need is an adapter and a filter mount and i can plumb in a good cooler with a 10" fan or something.

Its still legal as far as i am concerned and no authority has told me otherwise yet. Good idea. lol I am sure they would enjoy parking it, plus its all kinds of fun hooking up the 4 point harness.

Well wouldnt the oil temps be directly related to the coolant temps? If you can get the coolant temps down lower I would think the oil would follow.

Ar you using any kind of shroud with the fans? Im still using a stock 4.0 Explorer rad in my truck with a stock Merkur electric fan that has a metal shroud that covers 95% of my rad core and it keeps my 5.0 under 190ş

Yeah I have a shroud and a good fan setup. Nick put a HPOP in it so it will naturally run hotter. My coolant will read hotter because I am reading it from the block not from a hose like you typically would. Water would read like 210-215...

Nick told me it had to have an oil cooler on it, just didnt get it done before the trip. If you look at stock mustangs and navigators, they actually run a coolant style oil cooler, i couldnt because the frame was in the way.
