FSB/RMFTC wheeling trip with carnage

Went wheeling yesterday with a couple guys from FSB and a few buddy's from RMFTC. Had a great day, weather was great, hardly any snow on the trail.. and just an all around good day... till carnage happened.

The trail we did is one that I've done about 5 times over the last 2 years, so I'm very familiar with the trail and so forth... it's also not a difficult trail either. Well, the carnage happened to one person... me.

What happened was somewhere along the trail, my shock broke right above where it connects to the LCA, when it broke it somehow jumped and cut my CV boot. I have also been having issues with my upper and lower ball joints as they're shot and... well long story short my passenger side MTR is better served as a rubber floor mat or a road bed. Meh, not really pissed, irritated as it's a PITA to have to repair, but ya gotta pay to play. OH I'm also running valencless right now as I got tired of rub issues when wheeling.

Anyhow, this thread is worthless w/o pics so...

You'll get'er back up and rolling again in no time, Chuck.

It looks like you had fun, though.

It was a great day. The truck did fantastic as usual, got over all the rough spots w/o flinching... almost seemed as though I had a locker in it. As far as the carnage goes... meh, it's not a big deal... I'll limp it around this week, and Thursday I'll go to town fixing it. There's always a plus to breaking things... you can find the excuse to upgrade... which is why I'm ditching these craptacular Monroe Gas-o-matic shocks on it and going with something that starts with an R and ends with ancho.

Damn that looks like a hell of a time.
That white ranger looks pretty sweet. That is the same style rock sliders that I want to build.

His name is Matt, he is on FSB under the user name wileec. I believe he made that soft top...

Haha. I will make a trip out with you guys this summer. By then, I will be living in Golden and will have some more time to go.

Sad thing is though Shane, 3 of them still have a good amount of tread left on em.

Tell ya that one has really wore bad the last 3 days, I kid you not. I've put maybe 250 miles on the truck in 3 days and thats the end result.

Noticed it last week, thought I could buy myself some time with it till early summer... nope, i'll be lucky if it doesn't crap out in a week.

I've had this FSB for like 3 years now, and still havn't taken the top off. Its killing me, especially in the summer time when I'm down at the beach. All the girls love the full size w/no top. I have a soft top just sitting in the shed from my old FSB (rip).

I was going to say I thought I recognized that Ranger from somewhere! Yeah I was heading back up to Conifer from On Track Performance off Santa Fe and Dartmouth for a buddy of mine. He was working and asked me to go pick some new ignition stuff up. Good looking ranger man! Hell yeah we've gotta get something together... life's just been crazy as of lately
