Still needing a floor...realllly dont wanna have to redo everything later on if i install my current floor right now. Need to trim a little of the chromeish bezel a little bit. I've held the bezel in the stock location in the inspection cover, and the shifter is perfect....would be even more perfect once the trimming is done. Mount the bezel, get the trans boot on, get the RCM cover on, then complete.

BUT before the final assembly, I realllllly need to fix this damn hurst leak. I replaced all the gaskets and it's still leaking. It's driving me nuts. Where's Q when you need him? lol.

There is a good write up on RPS on how to make a vented gasket. Mine leaked like a sieve until I did this. The RPS Tech section is down for me, but I think there is one under Hurst Install. Hang on a sec I'll whip it out and paint

DUH!! lol....I completely forgot about that thread!! Q even wrote that how-to up I do believe...But I think he perfected it using plexiglass? idk.

This one uses like bathroom rubber, double stacked. I've got two sheets somewhere...now I gotta find 'em and fix the issue. When I get to do this...that means driving and seeing the ground for a little while. Just to make sure I axed the leak! lol.

I just used a sheet of gasket maker, and traced it out. You still get a little bit of residue, but it is more like sweating that anything.

Thanks for your help sir. 2.5" straight up extention and trimming of the chrome thingy did the trick.
