Didn’t mean to open up a can of worms.
I hope you guys work this out and yes 3rd shift $uck$ but sometimes you need to start at the bottom unless you get lucky and some women need to work for their own reasons…
Ltr, back to the ladies...

Im getting off, she'll be going in. Its not a necessity right now for her to work it either. Im just ranting. She's just got off and she's already ill. That is why we fussed about it, me and her DO NOT get along when she is sleepy or tired, and working 3rd shift, that's all she will be, especially when im off during her sleeping hours. I dk if it is $20 an hour, its not worth it to me if me and her are going to argue all the time or if she's unhapy with it (she wants to work with special needs children like she was). I talked to her last night and you could tell she was unhappy and the first thing she told me was "This is not want I want to do". So on top of that she's working third too. Also seems a little fishy to me, the HR lady told her she'd be train on daytime, yet she's training ALL THREE DAYS THIS WEEK on third. oh well, sorry guys, back to the girls with rangers, just a litte irritated right now

and to your last part, yeah she graduated last December. She is going to work for a year as an LPN, after our wedding, she's going to go back for 1 year to get her RN. I think after that, she will find a job with specail needs children like she wants

I am sure you have heard it already but get used to her doing just what SHE wants to and IF you don’t do hat SHE wants then… Then,,, you get shut off… BUT don’t get pissed at them they were brought up that way and don’t know any better; blame the mother.
The ladies know what turns your chimes and they use it for THEIR advantage, no matter what the guys think of the situation; the way the world turns.
You have one of the pretty ones so be patient man.

Sorry guys for taking up valuable picture space but sometimes you need to talk it out !

Sorry to thread Jack!!

Don't mean to barg but did she have choice when I started at my job they were doing group interviews, my G/F insisted I get first shift and I promised I would but during inerview they told us they only had one position avalible on first and asked everyones experience on guy had 25 yrs he got the job. They told us the rest of us would be put on a waiting list until a first position opened but i need a job so i raised my hand and said i'd take second i was working the next day. she was pissed at first but she got over it and i think its better for us anyways we can fight enough as it is, and not being around each other constintly has help our relationship.

amen. i work odd hours. lady canada has a 9-5 right now. her contract is almost up and i know she's gonna drive me crazy when she is looking for a job.
how does it go? distance makes the heart grow fonder. or something like that. it's not healthy to be together 24/7. you need your space apart.

scott, you gotta do what you gotta do sometimes. $20/h is excellent for just starting out in a career. if your monthly expenditures are low, think of how much you can save for a good house. not some double wide bullsh*t. something with a foundation and a basement.
you two both know that this position is not permanent. just keep that in mind.

don't get me wrong, i don't, don't wanna be around her. we just understand that we both need "our time". when i said she's gonna drive me crazy, it's cause she has nothing to do all day but look for work and i know from experience, a person cannot look for work from 9-5, 5-6 days a week.

i love katie, with all my heart. as does she love me. we've had this talk before and both being only children, we both know what "me time" is and that it's important for a healthy relationship.

Attempting to get this thread back on topic....

This is my ex-gf but it's the only picture I had of a chick and a Ranger...so what if it's just the interior.

I completely sympathize with you. My fiance and I have been through schedules like this more than once. It sucks but sometimes its for the best for both of your future. While in school I worked closing shift (10-4 or 5 am sometimes), and she worked the normal 9-5, on top of both of us full time in school. Needless to see I was gettting in to bed an hour before she was getting up, and it only pissed her off that I didn't getup until noon most days, event though that was hardly enough sleep for me to get by.

But we made it through and it was well worth it. Now she has a great job making salary with benefits in a management position, but she has to work long hours, 12-9 most days, she was training until midnight for awhile, and I am working 9-5's. Our schedules hardly overlap.

The key is to dedicate at least one day per week where you make time for each other, just quality time. Date nights, or days have saved us. It helps remind us that we love each other and why you we work so hard all the time.

Sorry for the thread jack, esp to all the guys who disagree and prefer being single, etc.

for sure. Last year I got laid off and had to take a job at Wally world 3rd shift. my wife worked 1st shift. let me tell you, it sucked. just as I was getting to bed, she was waking up. my nights off were mondays and tuesdays and those were her long days with work and school. last year was our first year of marriage.

in the end it forced us both to realize how important the other person was to us. I remember sitting at work many nights thinking how I "just miss my wife". I am by no means a romantic type guy, but I started to cherish the few minutes we had together each day. some days I would stay up and make her coffee and see her out the door and some times she would try to stay up till I got home.

Just look at the big picture and think long term and you guys will in fact be stronger for it.

after only about 6 months of that I was offered a position back in the industry I was laid off in and now work M-F 7-4 and I get to see my wife any damn time I want and am thankful fr it.
