Got mods?

I think I am pretty much done modding the Ranger... Hard to believe it went from this:

to this:

The truck is finally just the way I want it, minus some minor things (bigger alternator, new 60/40 seats cause mine are ripped, sliding rear window - and before you say it... anyone that can break into my truck thruogh the slider ill give $100 lol)

Its 'done' I geuss... it has turned into more of a work truck than anything these days. I rarely wash it... and I havent waxed it in months... though it definitely needs it... ill tell ya what though, I had the Ranger on a job with me a week or so a go, my friend drove the ranger and I drove the E350, and I gotta say, the ranger looks, seriously bad *** on the road.

There is no lift and no plans for a lift.... Actually there arnt any plans period for the ranger....Its wierd...

Though I think the new wheels and tires, really 'made' the ranger... Gave it that extra bit of beefiness it was lacking...

and FWIW... so far, the grand total of $$ spent is somewhere in the ball park of $25,000 (the ranger is paid for) with 60K miles...

The things that 'need' to be done to it, which arent mods, more of, fixing whats 'broken' the extra set of brake lights on the backrack I think I got the wires mixed up cause 2 wires fell off...

the back rack itself needs to be removed and sandblasted, primed and painted... I might get to that this summer, I dunno... its a BIG job... its 10 bolts, and ALOT of wiring to get that bar ready for blasting...

The power junction box that supplied power to the back rack... the box itself is too small, I need a bigger one, but its like 'whatever' it works lol... sort of...

The tonnaue cover is completely screwed... Talk to my dog about that one. I did buy a new cover from a member on here, but again, total lack of interest in modifying the rails to fit my truck...

and the tail gate indicator switch, the bracket for the switch itself is bent, so the light on dash keeps trying to tell me my tail gate is down when its not lol...

And I gotta remove my front mud flaps =( the driverside rubs... actually I was kinda hoping the tire would eventually tear it off, give me motivation to do it, but that doesnt appear to be happening... Thought I wouldnt mind switching to diamond plate mud flaps all the way around, I think that would look pretty cool...

Looks good dave, but I would at least crank the front end up about an inch. It'll look even better!

Dude,
You're never gonna be "done".
As long as you're still visiting this site, you're bound to get more cool ideas.
I find something almost every day to do to my truck & I've had it since 97 or 98.

When you crank your tbars you lift the front and 'level' the truck.... 2 problems... 1- I like the front end a little lower, I like that look... and 2- if you add any weight to the bed, it makes the 'dragging ***' look even worse.

The passenger fog light is an 'on going issue' those stupids always leak. My driverside was just as bad but was replaced in 07 when they replaced the entire driverside front end.

Then crank the tbars and throw the chevy shackles in the rear. It just a little more clearance for those tires.

I like the very first pic, especially the wheels.

After that, it looks like your truck crashed into the ranger section of a JC Whitney store.

Cranking the T-Bar will result in a bad ride.

If you were closer you would owe me 100 bucks, cause it takes about 10 seconds with no damage done

So your going to remove 10 bolts, 8 of which are a ***** to get at, then mess around with the slider... in all of 10 seconds? Id pay double to see that happen.

I think he is talking about how he has that ugly cow rack so you'd have to remove that to get to the window. Doesn't matter, anyone who has to go to that much trouble to break into a ranger is seriously in need of role model.
