Good times... Did you do the spin test before setting it back on the ground? What's your gap between the two main center pieces? Within' spec or just a scotch tighter like Aussies?

Search my name and aussie locker and you'll see tons of threads with my little review in them of an auto locker on a mostly street driven manual DD. I don't like it one bit. But when I go wheel it, I fall back in love with it. Juice is worth the squeeze. If I could do it all over again, I would've tossed in a selectable locker.

lol...my bad. Thrust Washers would be the correct name. I forgot. lol.
And for what it's worth, my axle guy swears by friction modifier even in axles that don't require it. I go by what my 30yr axle tech vet goes by...so i'm running a tube in mine. |

ok good deal. i trust yours and your axle guys words lol |
1 question for ya, how long should i wat untill i can fill the differential back up? i put the sealant on about 2 hours ago
|
like 20 mins after putting the cover on. lol. Silocone hardens up fairly fastlikeish. lol. After I get the cover on and tightened down, I waste time by tossing the drums and wheels on, torqued down, getting the truck on the ground and getting tools put away(sometimes. lol). But then again, My axles alot farther away from the gas tank so you might need yours at full droop to fill. IDK...it's been forever since i was stock.

UPDATE: just got done testing the locker and holy **** do i love it! went to a local trail by myself. im not bragging about my truck but i was so impressed with what i was just doing in 2 wheel. had to give up a couple times and put her into 4 otherwise i would have been stuck and i was alone. i went through this valley of rock and dirt, full flex and my door was rubbing the side wall of the rocks, and i scratched my paint. kinda pissed btw i had fun! sorry for no pics
