Got my fire sticks!

I got paid this week, and decided to go get my fire sticks. It was either that or the grill guard, and since I am going on a road trip next week, I decided to go with the antenna's since it was cheaper. The other bracket will be here next week, so I could only install one of them. Here are some pictures:

I'll also be putting in this:

Tomorrow I will be taking off that old valance and the factory fog lamps and brackets, since they are broken anyway. I think I'll also wash it.

Nice. I like that CB, but couldn't ever justify the price. I just got a Cobra 19.

Yeah, the CB was a little spendy, but I got it for free from my dad. He has a ton of Cobra's. I imagine if he sold them all he could end up with quite a bit of cash, but he loves playing with them. He's gonna try to get his HAM license soon.

Looks. There is a myth that it adds reception, but I believe it takes a lot of tuning, and I am lazy, so I don't think I am going to do that. I may just stick with the one fire stick. I'll check it out after I get the other bracket. If I do stick with the one, I'll put the other on my next truck.

it gives you a little more of an equall radiation pattern and tunning is pretty easy just tune each antenna the same.

I just did a setup on a International CXT

I have not had time to take photos of our new company truck but here is the same color model, we got it about month an a half ago to haul our large machine we manufacture around. Just left for marthas vinyard last monday.

Ours has the tilt bed option and push button transmission

But duals need to be at least 4' apart to actually do anything i've been told.

I've got one firestik2 wired up, and i've got another firestik2 still sittin in package awaiting my decision for an asthetic duals. Looks good man.

Well, my box is at least 4 feet wide (I can put my 4 four level in it with no problems), and the antenna actually sticks off to the side about 2 and a half, 3 inches, so I would be set on actually running the dual setup if I wanted.

I may run the duals. I'll have to mount the other one to see what it looks like. All I know is I love the way the truck looks with just the one. I'm gonna love it even more after I actually have the CB set up and ready to rock! Can't wait for my dad to get back!
