Thanks Jeremy for the deal on the TBS. Had you not sold it to me, I'd never get one. All they do is make noise, but it's a sweet whistle! That coupled with my K&N Open wedge filter makes it whistle REALLY LOUD and I love it!

Came with everything but the throttle cable brace brackets to shift it forward, which I just made myself...

Thats cool, I personally don't like them tho. My mom has one on her focus that they sent my dad since he has friends at Airaid. All it does is make the car whistle and make weird noises.

 

so besides the noise does it do anything for performance? gas mileage?

(ive heard that for the most part these do nothing, but just curious of your experience)

 

I dunno about the power and mileage part yet. I just put it on. When I get close to empty and fill up again I'll let everyone know. The whistle is awesome though.

I like the whistle, Clay. I didn't buy it just for that. I figure it's not going to hurt my power, it makes a sweet noise, and could possibly show gains. So we'll see.

yeah, thats why i have a KN intake. It looks nice, sounds nice, and definitely doesnt hurt.

now that i have a scanguage, my intake air temps are averaging only about 5* warmer than outside

curious to hear what the TBS does for you

I have a 1" spacer on my 92' K1500 (355, auto, 4x4 with many mods), combined with an Open-Element air filter . . . you don't hear it under normal driving conditions but the second you get up past 1800RPM, or begin to roll on the throttle it'll whistle like a straight piped Powerstroke.

Have had a couple people ask if it's turbo haha.

 

Excuse me tre...but who was diggin' my whistle? that's right...you. lol. Ok...so trevor's filter make it whistle pretty good...i can't imagine it coupled with the tb spacer. Ive had mine on for like 2 years. And the only reason it's still on, is for that sweet whistle. i dig it. if you don't dig it...eff off. lol.


oh...and if you need a cover that tells you what engine you have...you have issues. Mines been gone for like 3 years. lol.

Worded that wrong lol, my dad has friends there and when they sent him the intake for his truck they sent a TBS for her car too.

personally, i would like that "annoying" whistle.

On my 03 Mustang GT that i sold 2 months ago, i had a 80mm turbo on it.
Talk about annoying whistle ahaha i could barely hear my Magnaflow Magnapack exhaust because of it.
