Whoops, I'm retarded.
I blame it on the 3 hours of sleep last night! lol
As I look at it now it is painfully obvious, haha.

I'd show the sliders, just not the welds. I too am a n00b welder, so my welds may not look perfect, but I've never had one break on me. Then again, I've seen "pretty" welds break from not enough penetration, but they looked good........

looking good can be dangerous..

but when you can clearly see it not melted into the axle tube, thats where the issue is.

Just take your time with prepping it man. Grind down the undercoating on the frame first!

Yup, that's the case. Just cuz they look good doesn't mean they are good welds. I can make a weld look great with a 110 buz box mig gun, doesn't mean it'll hold up though.

Yea welds don't look to good, and I can tell you didnt clean it at all first, You can't weld over dirt and rust..very well.
You don't have to paint it no. But if you don't like rust then you should.

Only rod that you can weld dirty metals with is the E6010/1/2/3 rods. They're meant for that reason.

E6010
E6011
E6012
E6013

All are considered deep digging electrodes that don't requite cleaning before the fusion. More of a repair/mainenance rod since it can be welded dirty or clean. Even through paint.

Thanks again for the help and the back up against everyone here lol

Yep it all has to do with the coating on the rod. It uses a different substance so that the surface you touch the rod to does not contaminate the weld pool.

Yeah, I would say you need to try the welds again. If I welded something together, and it looked like it would break, I would cut that s**t off and re-weld it. I would say if you don't fix the welds, watch out for bumps, especially if you are speeding, lmao.

Thats my .02!

thats like saying one off an F150 or bronco is the same
an explorer axle is slightly wider, its got disc brakes, and its 31 spline instead of 28 so its stronger.

couldnt of said it better also there are more axles with a limited slip thats the main reason i swapped to it and the disc breaks

Well, hope the welds hold up when you take it offroad. That's all I have to say.

Your shocks don't hold the load in the bed. Just dampen the ride.

Your leaf springs hold the load.
