CA Highway 1 Cruise

So i cleaned up my truck & my quad and decided to take a cruise up Hwy 1 (pacific coast highway) between SLO and San Simeon and snapped a bunch of pics of my truck and the scenery. These were all taken with a camera phone so please excuse the quality.

Morro Bay

Cayucos

In front of Hearst Castle. San Simeon

Backroad above Cayucos

Backroad above Morro Bay

Lake off ^-- that road, behind Morro Bay

The original idea was to try to get a picture for the front page threads, but i'll have to wait until I take an actual camera with me, i think.

Thanks for looking

That's a fun trip for sure. I did the same thing from Pismo to Monterey last October. I'm trying to plan something for June to do from Monterey north into Oregon, we'll see if it works out.

Looks great. Don't worry about pic quality, it's not a photography forum.....LOL
Everyone is always saying sorry for pic quality and excuses for having a dirty truck. Damn, can't we all just take pics and post'em anymore?

Looks very good. Is it just me or are the insides of your front tires wearing prematurely?

Thanks for the compliments. That was really one of the better drives i've ever done. Just the entire way up PCH has awesome scenery with tons of vista points. I can see why you would want to do it again, Jason. For sure.

As for the tires, they were for a while. They were running some negative camber for a while, and i didn't notice until i saw the wear. oh well.. :(

Looks beautiful.

Makes me wish I didn't live in the extremely flat and uncharacteristic state of Iowa..

it's goin pretty well, actually. the mini baja team has been progressing and I just spent my whole spring break working on that damn thing. Competition is in May.

Other than that, I'm still rockin the 5-year plan and chuggin' along. What's the word back in the OC?

Edit: for the curious..mini baja is the reason i took this drive. needed a break, lol.

Can you camp by that lake? If so, give me some names of campsites or spots in general please. I prefer non-developed sites. Less people that way. I don't mind roughing it.

Bingo. No idea what the lake was called either... i was just coming down the mountain and saw it. I went "ooooooh!"

I didn't see a camp ground. I did see all sorts of really small state campgrounds all along hwy 1 right on the beach, though. The best ones were up by San Simeon. They were pretty small and didn't look crowded at all.
