That does look really good man.
I'd look into powdercoating them black if the plasti-dip didn't last.

Yeah, a can of this stuff can go a ways... I got my rear bumper and the two parking light trim pieces coated with one can.

I did apply lots of coats to all of these parts.

Fender flares will be Plasti-dipped tomorrow...

They look good, nice work.

NEXT time… if there is next time, use some DuPont Etching Primer after sanding or sandblasting the rims. then spray on the top coat.

Aluminum needs an etching primer for long term paint retention.

How well does the plasti dip on wheels hold up to offroading?

No. The point of plasti-dip is so that you can peel it off if you would want to and there is no trace of it left behind. No sanding.

Plasti dip has been proven to hold up amazingly.
Even with a pressure washer held 2" from it it doesn't have any problems holding up.
I'll be doing my emblems, grille, and hood bulge soon.

I did my grill, emblems, key hole and front bumper tonight and I'll finish the job tomorrow with the rear bumper. This stuff is great and so cool how you can change stuff around. I did the entire grill and front bumper and it was too much so I peeled off the logo on the grill and looks great.

Here's my pics... before and after. I really like the new look

Here's a shot showing the cool of plastidip... I went too far and did the entire grill and it looked out of place so I just peeled off the logo to get the look above. Awesome stuff

Now it's time to go do the rear bumper :)
