I'm Finally Body Lifted

Thursday I spent the entire night body lifting my truck by myself as no one else wanted to give me a hand that night. Only took 12 hours to do it by myself with just hand tools.

Bed stripped and rear bumper off

Front Bumper Off

Cab Lifted

Half The Bed Lifted

Poser Flex LOL. The snow pile kept sliding or I would have climbed it higher.

Level Stance

Sorry I didn't take more pics, but its hard to get motivated to stop what you're doing to take pics when you're lifting it by yourself.

I still need to take the brushgaurd back off. I only installed it so it wouldn't scratch my paint on the toolbox on the way home.

I'm getting 33x12.5R15 GoodYear DuraTracs and - Summit Racing 85 Black 8 Series Wheels at the end of the month when the rest of my taxes come.

Gotta take that off until you adjust the mounts.

Dude! I would have helped. Did you post a meet and greet thread up? Shoulda PMed me because if you make a thread I didn't see it.

Jake and I put a grill/brush guard on my truck today and were talking about you and the other member who met up and helped put my BL on. We were wondering when you two were going to lift so that we could help.

Yeah I'm taking it off in the morning, I just threw it on so it wouldn't have to sit in the bed of my truck and scratch my tool box and bed rails up. I only have one bolt on each side holding it on just so I could get it home.

Yeah it was kind of one of them last minute things and I was working on two other cars all at the same time lol. Had to help my dad finish stripping a 87 Regal T-Type so the tow truck could come grab the shell and get it out of the garage so I could get my truck in. Then after I did my body lift I had to do a timing belt and water pump in a Subaru Legacy that was given to me so I could get it posted up for sale to help pay for my tires and wheels. I was up for 40 hours doing all this by myself, I'm surprised I got the timing right the first time on the suby with no sleep. My brother and Dad were suppose to help me but never came out to the garage for any of it. Sorry for the long ramble lol, still a little tired.

Also did you have to modify the grill guard to get it to fit with the body lift? I would really love to put mine on but the brackets won't work. I am going to miss how mean it made the truck look.

I bought the guard from a guy who modified it to fit his truck already. He too was BL'ed so I didn't have to do any drilling.

All he did was drill new holes in the stock bracket. I also had to trim my valence a bit to make it fit.

I'm gonna have to look at my brackets and see if it'll work. I had to remove my valance as a pile of snow broke all the clips that hold it on off.
