Didn't feel like setting up the tent so I tried this tarp shelter off my roof rack.
Used 1/4 foam mats and a thermarest. Was quite comfortable and it was warmer than I thought. Went down to 9C and I was fine. Used a small tarp as a door and it seemed to help trap in heat.
Tarp on a ratchet strap and rope for roof. Bungees all around to hold down tarp. Bed area. Thermarest and foam matts. The rack. (my own design)
