cool pics where did you and austin get your front light bars?

gatorblue92 04-02-2008 05:28 PM

trucks look great

TrePaul86 04-02-2008 05:32 PM

Austins is actually welded to the bumper at the bumper mounts to the frame! Believe it or not, that's my old bumper off my 2wd that I sold to his gf's brother haha... He had a tube bumper made for his truck... The reason it's welded is there's some small supports that are attached to the bar that wrap around, I can't remember if it's for looks or for strength. But it bolts on, just you have to take the whole bumper off when you take the light bar off haha..

I wanna say his is a procomp light bar. Wait a minute... Now that I remember, it was for a Gen 3 ranger that he made work on his truck, that's why it was welded! haha

Mine is a fabtech, I think you can get mine for like $180 not shipped online somewhere, just google ranger fabtech light bar or something... All I could find just now was the procomp one and you'll have to mod it a lil to get it to fit, but it shouldn't take much... It might actually just bolt on!

thanks for the info i like yours to but it looks a lil to big for a ranger

TrePaul86 04-02-2008 06:55 PM

Mine is actually fit for my year. Austins is a lil bigger than his truck. But I like them both!

04blackedge 04-02-2008 08:21 PM

My truck literally died once going through the end of the puddle on one of the runs... I think I bogged it down cuz I was in 4hi... Shane thinks I sucked in water, but it didn't act like I did, and my filter didn't show it either haha... Don't go through sh*t like that unless you've got at least 35's man! I could have opened my door and touched the water, it was to the bottom of my cab almost lol... way deep!

INT3RC3PTOR 04-02-2008 08:43 PM

lookn good! get more pics of all the trucks up

Fx4wannabe01 04-02-2008 08:45 PM

^^^^Yea....like austins truck!!

TrePaul86 04-02-2008 08:47 PM

I know! Next time I'm in town I'm gonna have us all go someplace and take some sweet pics! like up wildcat mtn, and hopefully not get stuck again haha Just wish there were more lifted rangers like us around us!

Fx4wannabe01 04-02-2008 08:48 PM

^^is that a Billy diss? lol.

TrePaul86 04-02-2008 08:51 PM

No, I can't blame him for wanting to be low to the ground! BETTER MPG!... I just have a feeling if we do go up to wildcat, he won't make it

But we'll all have to meet up again, all of us!

SanityAside 04-02-2008 08:57 PM

looks sick, nice trucks

vansnxtweek 04-02-2008 10:17 PM

Looks great!! Man Im really suprised at how much difference there is between the sl/bl and the rcd/bl...that looks like a huge diff!! Makes me want RCD..lol Oh well!!

INT3RC3PTOR 04-02-2008 11:28 PM

actually i think its just the angle of the pic, Because the sl/bl combo is roughly 6-7", and the RCD is 5.5-6"

Trevor has more lift in the rear because of shackles maybe, which is making it stick up higher.. i think?

Fx4wannabe01 04-02-2008 11:35 PM

Trevor's rear is considerably taller than Austin's.

Yet, Austin's front is considerably taller than Trevor's.

Trevor = rcd bl(shackels and AALs?)
Austin = SL bl.(stock block/SL block stacked)

TrePaul86 04-03-2008 01:10 AM

My rear is a lot taller than Austins!

I have a RCD shackle (9in from eye to eye) and a AAL for the rear, plus the stock block

Austin only has the superlift block to stack on the stock block

I'm workin on the 750lb coils now... I can't stand a smaller kit being taller than me!

WowMike2001 04-03-2008 01:18 AM
