Finally had time to start this. I was looking for a bulb socket so I wouldn't have to permanently attach the bulb to the tail housing.

Found some at autozone for 8 dollars each junkyards here wanted about the same price for used ones[?]

This is what I started with

Then cut the center out

Here is the L1224R Led

I then had to dremel off the tabs it has on there for the new socket to fit over

Thanks Shane for the picture it helped out alot I was so frustrated last night working on them

Finally got a EP27 flasher from Orielly. Went to one and nothing on the shelf left there went to another and they didn't have one.

I asked the guy he said they would have one behind the counter but they didn't have one there but the store I was just at showed they had 4 of them.

Just realized how bright these really are with brake lights on.

Was sitting in traffic no one behind me. The treet sign that was a good 50 yards away was red

Already ordered mine! I can't decide on how I want to make mine work, whether to use this method or epoxy the part to the back of the taillight housing.

Do it the way STL, PAseries and crucialcolin did. All the same method (the corvette/STI way) - it gives better results me thinks compared to the way Fx4wannabe and I did - we were first remember) I know I am missing a few members because there has to be 10-15 of us on RF that have these.

No - I think this is a prototype picture. They probably did this putting the concept together. If you read more on this you'll tell that the L1224R's I've been getting you guys look entirely different than the original prototype ones in the syvania show-off thread. If your really advantageous, and smarter than me you could always try taking them apart and modding them to be amber, but this would be like a brain-transplant as far as I'm concerned. I only take clusters and convert them to different colored LED.
