After a few months of searching I finally found myself a nice F-150 screw. I'm a little sad to see the ranger go, but I got good coin for it.

How much did they allow you on your ranger?

 

I was kinda on the fence about the 5.4 vs. 4.6, Then I talked to my mechanic. His opinion was if your aren't going to tow anything really heavy get the 4.6, it's a bulletproof engine.


I got 15 for my ranger. 07 sport 4x4 90000 km. The ranger black booked for 11.

Yep. That's a very good part of the reason why I did it. BUT by getting so much for the ranger I couldn't really negotiate much off of sticker.

 

boo open diff! not sure if i like the dash in those trucks yet... they seem "sablesque"

 

lookin good! If i could get a lil more than what i put into my ranger id trade it in for the new raptor... BUT its not paid off yet.

ya the open diff kinda blows, but easier to put a locker in.
I don't mind the 4.6 either

ha ha. nice fiddy. 5.4 is nice. but hes right, if youre not hauling, youll be fine.

 

Those booing the 4.6 must have never driven one. They are bullet proof and I beat the **** out of mine. AND I tow with it.

One of my buddies has a 04 4.6 extended cab 150 and he cant touch my 4.0.

 

stock for stock a 5.4 can't touch a 4.0 either lol

let me correct myself. in a straight line race the 5.4 can't. but in anything else, well. f1fiddy wins!

 

I really wanna race a 4.0, everyone here has dinky 3.0s though.

 

Stock for stock, I don't think a 5.4 f-150 could take a 4.0 ranger.

 

My 4.0 will be put back together this week. I just picked up my new heads today because the originals were cracked.

My 3.0 is dinky, but it's also bullet proof.

 

You ever go to the track? I'd love to go down the quarter a few times. I'm not hatin on the 3.0, I drove one for 2 years. Great strong motor just not the best in the power dept lol

Ever heard of Freaky Friday and Fayetteville Motorsports Park? I used to race there all the time. The first friday of every month is called Freaky Friday. 10 bucks to get in and 10 bucks to run. You can run all night until 7am. I spent many late nights out there.
