Redneck Articulation Ramp (pics)

So, being as I had just got off work and home, I was bored. Took some 4x4's to a tree stump but it was too big, so I cut it down and rolled it around the front yard a little. Yeah, I was that bored. Found a spot but then it wasn't big enough so I put it on top of another stump then tried it. I could have gone further but the freakin one-leg-wonder started slipping so that's where I stopped. The corner of the bed was just shy of 76" high, pretty good for an open diff 2wd I think.

I should have disconnected my front sway bar so I could have flexed out the front too. Hmmm, maybe next time. I just can't wait to get sas'd, or even a locker if the sas looks too far out to wait.

As a once 2WD wheeler I say bravo!

Do you intend to wheel it in 2WD? If so, a locker is a must but it's no panacea.

Still, I wheeled mine for 5 years in 2WD. You can have a lot of fun no matter what anyone says.

I do wheel it in 2wd, and I know even with a locker it's no 4wd but a locker would certainly help in a lot of situations.

It does, but it's not-quite-useless in many hill climbing situations. I ran into that in lots of cases -- even getting out of mudpits where the angle was high. If you look at my thread from yesterday you'll understand how delighted I was with my initial tests in 4WD, lol.
