i didn't notice the lack of bags, but i noticed the front seats are 97 and older frames. not like the US 98+ seats at all.

98+ usa seats have all the extra crap for airbag, including the seat belt sensors, dont need them in Mexico if there's no airbags

i think alot of us do.

Al, it's about time you came up with the pics.

i'm not feeling the lights behind the grill. you should see if you could find a 4wd bumper with built in fogs.

that thing also needs a lift, SAS and big rubber under it.

No emissions stuff either. A friend's girlfriend is from Mexico and has a Chevy Monza that she brought here. No airbags in it and when you open it underhood, there is a tiny wiring harness going to an underhood computer. There is almost nothing to that engine. It really was a trip to see it. Oh, its a 2005!!

Dude, super nice truck! It still weirds me out a bit looking at it and seeing the older front end on it. Then the older interior, then the 4 big doors... and a backseat where there... well isn't normally one....

Sweet truck. I love the storage under the back seat too!

Man, a sunroof would be awesome. About the rear glass... i looked for a Ranger without it. I'm not a fan of those. lol

The lights behind the grille are temporary. I'm going to different junk yards every weekend and looking for a valance with fogs. Is just that my luck sucks. lol. I'm going to San Antonio for the Central Texas Rangers meet next month and if I have enough time, I'll look for one. I need one bad. Tires are next. Is just that my current ones are still good, so I'm justw aiting for them to go bald.

If I had the money, I'd buy me a single cab for DD, a 4x4 1st gen to wheel it, and my current one as family truck. lol

The Monza is a people's car. Chevrolet started selling that car to compete with the VW Bug, which was still sold here in Mexico 'til 2003 (IIRC). It's cheap and of course it won't have any sort of equipment, such as airbags. It's all about selling cheap cars around here. We also have the Brazilian Fiesta (which I think is kicking the bucket for the new European one..), among other cheap cars which would never ever be sold over there in the States because those don't have airbags, abs, or any other safety device/equipment.

All of the crew cab Rangers I've seen around have the same grille as mine, with the difference that the front turning lights are clear and not orange as mine, some have working corners and mine don't. The '06+ Ranger has a different cluster, which I think is similar to the US '05 Ranger and out-of-the-frame shocks. Oh, and they have brazilians in the front end.

But a question for the American/Canadian owners... if it came down to it would you really buy a ranger crew cab over the ones we currently own?

Yes they have more room, and are a rarity... but how practical are they really? 5 foot bed..
might as well get a suv imho

NOT AT ALL FLAMING THE GUY WHO OWNS THIS TRUCK... its f ing sweet dude :)

Look at you with all your fancy-dancy doors. Nice truck, I would like to see it with some bigger meats on it.

No offense taken.

All in all, truck is pretty good for the purposes I bought it for. Driving with my family and for the occasional hauling. A couple of weeks ago I hauled 1,000 lbs of paper and took all of it to a recycle center. Despite it being a 4 banger, it did a pretty good job.

My girlfriend's dad had a 302 engine lying around and when I asked him about it, he sold it. lol. Tough luck. I've been doing some research on maybe dropping a 4.0 on it. Truck is too heavy for the 2.3. But like I said, it does alright. Anyway, any of these plans ain't a short term plan. My priority is getting bigger tires and some black wheels. As well as the valance with fogs.
