i think when he says solid mounted the blocks are solid minus the bolt between em -- and i think its a prerunner thing cuz trent did this also on his desert runner..but i might be wrong in both but thats my stab at it tonight

I would not recommend it for anything but a truck with a full roll cage. If you solid mount a cab with no cage its going to rattle, clang, and cause the body mounts to rip apart. Not to mention transmit more road noise and vibrations into the cab and your body. Simply, it would suck. Stick with rubber.

The cab on my s-10 was solid mounted and the motor was solid mounted....talk about an uncomfortable ride, you could feel every lobe on the cam in your seat

Yes, because at that point the frame is now rigid so there is no flex to go ripping apart body mounts and such. And with a cage if you leave the rubber mounts the cab will flex on its own and bang around on the tubes (possibly, if its tucked tight).

How so? Ask anything and I'll tell you, come to SoCal and I'll give you a ride.

It's just a tease because I don't typically pic ***** it up when I do something... maybe I should though?

And sorry Beard, no pics yet, haven't even looked at it since chopping it off... lol

Because its sooo nice and too far away to come see lol.

not a tease as in "oh boy what's he doing now"... just more, "i wanna see that thing tearing through the desert"

maybe in like 5 years when my truck is worthy of the hammers I'll come out to Cali.
