F150 Flex

Nothing to get too excited about, I just wanted to make sure nothing rubs with the 35's. I suspected the rear tire might contact the upper shock mount when it's compressed. It doesn't

I still think it needs a lift
There is still a little flex left in there (not sure how much), but that's about the best I could get from that spot anyway. I'm curious now what it would do with the sway bar disconnected.

Part of the reason I want it higher is to put the 35's on wider wheels. The factory wheels are 7.5" wide, but the only way they would fit properly (ie no rubbing) with a leveling kit. I'd like to put them on an 8.5-9" wheel. Oh well, some day. Probably about the same time I can afford gears and a locker again

So far (about 5k miles), they are not noisy. Just a slight hum on the highway, really nothing bad at all. But if I've learned one thing about mud tires, it's that they get louder as they wear. I think the F150 will hold better alignment then the ranger/explorer though, so maybe these will wear a little smoother. Time will tell, but so far they are not bad at all.

I also have to say, I like how the frame doesn't look like it's going to fall apart when it's flexed, like rangers do...

Don't worry I won't have the spare money to lift it any time soon, lol.
The 35's fit perfect as it is. If I did anything, I would re-gear it before I lifted it (unless a great used deal came my way). Ideally I would only put a 4-5" lift kit on, putting it 2-3 higher than it is now. Wouldn't be significantly bigger, and wider wheels would 'appear' to fill the wheel wells more anyway. I don't mind the leveling kit, but I would like more down-travel, that is all. If I set the bilsteins to stock height, I would have around 4" of droop in the front. I think with a lift and coil-overs, I could get atleast 4" of droop, maybe a bit more with camburg upper control arms, before I have to start worrying about CV joints. But all that is in the distant future...

Looks good, but you just completely ruined your truck by flexing

What kind of wheels are you thinking of getting?

No idea. I haven't thought about it much, honestly. Any other sized wheels with these tires and I'll have a rubbing issue up front some how.
I don't like much of the aftermarket crap that is out there right now, to be honest. Most of the wheels are overdone and look tacky, or black (everyone and their mom has black wheels now).
Plus, as long as I live around here, I have to worry about salty winters, so that narrows the options a bit more too.
Then the other thought I have, is that I would be better off buying 17" wheels and save $200-300 every time I buy a new set of tires.

Okay I guess there may be a few black wheels I could consider.

After a quick look, these might be high on the list.

Possibly this version?

Maybe these, only because I think the teflon coating is cool.
