VW Beetle/mouse nest

Mom brought her car over a few weeks back for me to detail, it's an '03 Beetle. While I was in there, I figured I'd check online to see if there was a cabin filter in it and took the top of the dash apart to get at it...found this mess...looks like the mouse had been storing some pond fish food dad had in the garage in there and had chewed up big piles of insulation inside the dash. Funny it didn't stink though. What a mess to clean up...ordered a couple new dash parts to replace the chewed up insulation inside there.

Yea, it was a mess. And that filter had never been changed either...car has about 160k miles on it. It was VERY clogged.

They like to get into small engine covers and build nests also. I found a few fried ones last week, Lol
