the steps are mounted to the body, not the frame, they're not going to hang down like you may be thinking shane

I go with a slider with steps built on them before I went with the stock flimsy steps.

I think that the stock steps look really good after seeing the first couple of trucks in this thread. They aren't too far down where they will hang up on things, they look natural on there and i'm giving shane a really good deal on some that are brandnew. Can't go wrong IMO. Sliders would be sweet but I don't see him needing them that bad unless he's sas and take it into situations where he needs them. The only place i've ever needed my sliders were at browns camp in the crushers which is a natural boulder field.

Seems you have a biased point of view since if he decides to go with stock steps you make money....

I could get more out of them anyday I want on craigslist. But he's my friend and i'm giving my honest opinion. I love how you automatically assume that. It doesn't matter to me if he buys them for the cheap price that i'm selling them to him for. I just think they look good and gave my opinion on that. But hey, if you think that's how I am, then I really don't care.

They look good, the nicest ones I've seen are the Nfab ones. They are tube and really tight against the rocker with two little steps attached to them. I want/need steps on my truck, everyone always complains lol.

I took mine off last summer and I think it looks a lot better with them off ..... but when they were on it kept rocks from hitting the body off the fron tires and made it a LOT easier to get in the truck.

I think they look alright, they offer some protection. But some slider style with some steps would be better lookin.

I've got all my materials to build my sliders....1.5x4x.250 rectangle tubing...i prefer square...looks way better and it'll match the front bumper i want to build. I'm waiting on all that metal work for a while...i'm gonna run 'em since i pretty much need something soon...parents are wanting to use my truck more and more often now...and well...they need a lil assistance with getting into it. lol. PLUS...the truck needs a little change know i'm sayin'. lol.

YES, sliders are a better option. BUT, i'm not doing those yet. simple answer.
