Nice Stang. But I was raised to If I ever got a mustang the only two motors that could be in it were a 4.6 or a 5.0. But I do like the wheels and the gauges good deal.

Zach your seriously trying to compare a mustang and a vette? Think about it this way. If the v6 mustang would of never been made then there wouldn't have been a mustang period. It is the mustangs life line. You should know that. A vette and a mustang cant even be used in comparison. Vette is in a completely different class.

Given I would never buy a v6 auto mustang, but that is because I would personally choose not to. Nothing is wrong with them and they can be just right for someone. It doesn't take much to get them to go faster if you want. The aftermarket is damn near endless for the 3.8. There are two v6 mustangs I can think of off the top of my head running 10's or faster. One has a built 3.8 with a twin turbo setup. The other is a fox body with a 3.8 stroked out to a 4.2 running a single turbo setup.

You will soon. They want a cheap economical vette for people who want the vette name, but not the performance.

Crate motor. Nuff said. Everything could be done with factory parts!

they have talked about it for the next generation vette, they were gonna use the soltice platform, and put a turbocharged V6 in it

like i said before, that is an *** load of aftermarket gauges in a stock car

It's not a terrible thing if you really think about. Given I would be sad in a way to see a non v8 vette, but if you think about it performance wise. It's not a terrible concept. You would be taking a car that already handles amazingly with a v8 and put an even lighter but equally powerful motor in it and you would have an amazing package. It is one of the few reasons why I would consider a v6 mustang over a v8. Doesn't take much to get them to be as quick as a v8, but takes hardly nothing to make them out handle a v8 mustang.

Don't get an ebay chip. For us ranger guys we have rogue tuning, and bamachips. A lot of stang guys use VMP tuning. Look into an Xcal2 or 3 with a nice custom tune. It looks like they even do rangers to. Anyways, heres the link for you below.

http://www.vmptuning.com/store/index...&parent=2&pg=1

Also, maybe an underdrive pulley set in the future as well.

Its not hard to get a v6 mustang to around 250 crank hp without major mods.

Tuner
True CAI
Full exhaust headers back
Pulley kit

Just those could get you pushing around 250 crank easy. Add in gears and a shift kit for the auto tranny and you could have a low 14 second car. All with just bolt on's/tune. If it was a manual with those you would see a high 13's car.

That 3.8L is a good motor. Very torquey and gets great mileage on the highway (can get 30mpg easily.) '94-98 3.8L's had ~150hp, then in 1999 with the redesign got 193hp. Honestly, i've driven both a 98, 02, and 04 3.8L/stick and couldnt tell much of a difference except in the top end, the low end torque was the same. My sister put the true CAI kit that Mike suggested and it sounded awesome. She also did true dual flowmasters (sounded like caca IMO.) Check youtube, there are some really good sounding 3.8L stangs on there.. Have fun with it!

Id imagine the vette if it were to get a v6 it would get the 300hp DI motor used in the Cadillac CTS.

Yeah i am getting some thrushers to replace the stupid monroe crap muffler system. Ford said they wanted the same style mufflers and monroe ****ed up. Never go to monroe for a muffler system. So that and my cai should help plus the 410's that i will be picking up soon for it should really help out.

Thrush glasspacks, or the welded mufflers?? I was looking at those today, fairly cheap for a Stainless steel one, like 65 bucks..
