went snow wheelin.... in L.A.!!!

well been rainign for a week now here in L.A. and today the snow levels rocketed down to 1200' so i figgured it would be a good time to go snow whomping befor CHP closed all the roads.

this is the santa clara divide trail (3N17) i take all the time. well there was ab out 12" of snow on the ground and more was coming fast. nice and fluffly snow.

any socal locals post up and if anyone wants to go back this weekend lets plan something up....

now the pics.... and there cell fone pics.

I may want to go. I have been dying to do some snow wheeling. This time though we should be more prepared because I'm not ready to spend 10 hours on that trail again. Also I will remember to take the parking brake off this time and I have better tires this time.

Id take my 98 dropped 5/7 if it still was up there with no problem, thats barely any snow Its driver skill thats all thats needed.

4wd is not needed in that amount of snow..

Ah the fond memories of the last time we hit that trail in the snow...

I would be down to hit the trail Friday night, but other than that I am out of town for the weekend.

Before you head back out there please take care of that fender... beat that lip back in.. looks like the tire caught it once already... that would suck getting up there and blowing a side wall out because of your own truck..

Have fun!!
