Alright guys, after a year of research, tracking down a set of brackets, buying the wrong size coilovers, having to go thru the process of buying the new coilovers, getting the new coilovers, spending an hour and a half a day working on my truck by myself, I finally got them on and in my opinion it was worth it! still some odds and ends such as limit straps, bumps, more lift, alignment, and charging them with nitrogen. but the hardest part is done! let me know what you think and lemme see some of what yall got!

FYI, the aluminum spacer is supposed to go between the top of the shock bucket and the bracket.

Lol I was pondering on that! At that moment trying to mock up those Shocks almost fully collapsing the shock by hand we just put it on the top causewe had to get as much room as we could get. Unfortunately the holes are already drilled. Darn I should asked lol

Props on the DIY install. It looks like you did a good job too. It looks solid.

Looks good... where did you get the brackets? Make them or have someone make them? Or just found a set by luck?

I would like to see more pics of your truck. Preferably showing the whole side/front/rear.

You said the ride improved? Did your passengers notice it?

From the black "wrinkle" finish on them...I would bet they were left over RCD brackets. All of RCD's stuff came with that style finish.

Yeah they're Rcd brackets. And i'll get some this week possibly today. These were taken off my phone and it takes a while to upload them. And yes the ride improved a lot. My brother was the debbie downer of this whole conversion and when he drove it he said it is so much better than he first thought. He's a big car guy along with His friend which thinks the same. Really they're the only two that have ridden in it besides me. Overall though with no sway bars the coilovers control a lot of body roll around turns. Its like I had sway bars on. I think the spring rates are a lil soft only cause kings heaviest spring is 600. But I can live with them. They absorb all the bumps in the roads in contrast to when I had the truck on torsion bars that shook the whole truck whenever I hit bumps. It was worth it.

Looks good, other than the spacer being in the wrong spot.

Good to know the 600lb ones give a good ride. That's what I'm putting on mine. I've heard that they tend to sag, but we'll see. For a daily driven vehicle, I don't think I'd want to go much higher rate.

That looks great. I have always liked the looks of the Sportrac but never seen anyone. beef it up. How much was it for the Shocks and everything you put in?

Yeah im 2wd. Which is kinda good since I don't have to worry about angles on the axles and such. Im also thinking on getting uppers from btf fab which are tubular and have a uniball joint. The cost for the shocks, and the brackets was probably 1100 or so. But that's because I got kings not fox or qa1.

Well in those pics I have no adjustment in the springs. As it sits right now it has about 2"of up travel which I know isn't a lot but im gonna try and get one more inch out of her. That's why I haven't done an alignment yet is cause i font know if its to the height I want it to be at. But thanks!
