New Aircraft Lights, and some night shots
New Aircraft Lights, and some night shots
I just got done putting a set of 100w aircraft landing lights on my truck for driving lights.
I've never had really bright lights before, and these made my brights look like I was just holding a flashlight out the window. For less than $70 (including wiring that can handle several more lights) I've nearly tripled my light output.
Still in the shop

ON!

My camera doesn't like to take night shots, so they're not the greatest.

Regular beams

Driving lights

High beams and driving

I need to get some pics of the difference from inside the truck now. I also have pics of the install that I'll probably put up later.

Par 36 ACL's can be purchased or ordered at most autopart stores. They aren't anything overly special except you can get them up to 600 watts. Just be forewarned, the higher the wattage, the shorter the lifespan will be. 100-200 hours is typical for the really high wattage ones.
