Went in thinking I wasn't gonna likeit, but I really dig it!

Did you clearcoat them? Throw a couple coats of clear on there if you haven't.

Nice work.

What'd you do for prep work? I got new soft 8's and have my old tear drops in the shed. Thinking about buying a set of mudders and mounting them on the 'drops and painting them

I used brake parts cleaner, soap, water and sponge, washed, then RED scotchbright pad, then 320grit sandpaper, then brake parts cleaner, then spray with air compressor, then two light coats, then a final heavy wet coat. And I did not use primer or clear coat.
The VHT paint doesn't require primer if your wheels are in good condition, just gotta scuff up the paint and it says to use red pad or 320grit paper. I want to throw on some clear coats, I gotta order more cans of paint, Ill order an extra can of clear coat. Can I just spray on the clear over the paint even though its already cured and everything? Your supposed to add clear within an hour after final coat. Will the clear still stick you think? Im doing the front two next weekend, Ill post picks when its all done

one thing though, you painted over the wheel weights, next time your tire is worked on there will be a silver spot where the old weights were

You'll be fine spraying the clear at a later time, just make sure the rims are clean.

Its made for wheels to protect against salt/sand/etc. Here's straight from their website:
VHT Wheel Paint provides a great finish and real protection for all standard and custom wheels. Every day wheels take a beating both on and off the road. Salt, sand, brake dust and rocks severely damage the appearance and protection of the wheel surface. This unique product resists chipping, cracking and fading, while protecting the wheel surface from oxidation, and is available in five popular colors plus clear coat. VHT provides a multi-high performance coating system for the ultimate in protection and quality.

I know man, I had no other option really, it was too hard to tape off the weights, I can always touch them up when I get new tires, but the tires are brand new won't need new ones for a while
