Its like Christmas for the Ranger!

Well I had some left over cash so I figured I'd buy some stuff for the Ranger. The first thing I ordered was a set of 6000K HIDs off ebay. Took me about 45 mins to install, most of the process was trying to find a screw/nut and a good place to mount the ballast.

I think I'll order a kit for my Fogs soon.

The other thing that had been bugging me for over a month now was that I was rockin stock corners with black head lights. So I figured I'd replace those as well.

And finally I was rather annoyed that my niteshaded tails were so dim even with my L1224Rs. The other part I didn't like is at night you could tell that the paint wasn't even when I would hit the brakes. Looked rather tacky to me. So I ordered a set of black after market ligths off ebay. They are little ricey but they look good with the LED bulbs.

I'll get some better pics with my girlfriend's digital camera tonight. Just thought I'd share my latest mods.

They are awesome, easy to install, and really make a difference in both appearance and when driving at night.

Did yours mount completely flush? I can't seem to get a small gap to go away at the top of the tail lights.

The only thing thats bugging me right now is that the LED doesn't fill the whole circle. You can only see it during the day and in person but there are two spots of the brake light that doesn't get filled up by the L1224Rs. There is a spot for a second brake light so I'm thinking about getting another socket and splicing in a cheap set of LEDs to fill up the gap.

You live in Houston? We could meet up and I can show you how to install em.

I ordered them from the same person Shane did.
eBay Store - AUTOLUMINATE: HID CONVERSION KIT H1, HID CONVERSION KIT H3, H3 3000K Golden yellow

They were $50.

Yea you could easily spend more if you wanted to run bright lights as well. These are single bulb kits so you loose your brights, but the HIDs put out so much more light you don't really need your brights any more.

It says that when you install the kit, you loose your high beam and only have low beam. Is this true? wtf?

dont waste your money on a bi-xenon kit, as they tear up easy with moving parts. if you want high beams stay halogen, or get a dual HID kit.

So they're brighter than a standard hi-beam?
But dont they blind people? I dont want to be a dick, do you get people flashing their lights at you often?
