Picked up a Jeep this morning
Found a good deal on a Jeep Cherokee, and towed it home with my truck this morning. We're going to fix it up and it's going to be my fiancee's brother's first vehicle.
It needs rockers and a couple floor patches, front brakes, windshield and a few other minor things. We're not going to go crazy with it for now, just planning on 3" lift springs on the front, AAL on the back, new shocks all the way around and some 31's.
Best part is that we picked it up for $200. He was asking $500 but it wouldn't stay running when we went to look at it. He said if we gave him a couple hundred we could take it away, so that's what we did. A little bit of fresh fuel and now it purrs like a kitten!
It even came with a full set of brand new snow tires! They look like crap with the white walls out but they'll work til we find some 31's. Might just throw the BFG's from my truck on it when I find something else. Do you think DSG Alcoas would look good on a Jeep? lol

haha I'm still keeping them... I'd just LEND them to him! I think he just wants some black steelies for it anyways. He could probably just paint up the wheels that are on it.
There was even a brand new matching aluminum wheel in the back!

It's got high mileage... 300,000km or about 186,000 miles. Looks to be very well maintained though.
I may have just found the lift kit for it....just waiting for a reply to see if it's still available. It's going to cost more than what we paid for the Jeep itself! lol

Looks like Clayton does have some good stuff, a little overkill for what we're looking for though. Just picking up a small 3" lift to go with 31's. It's going to be driven on the highway much more than the trails.
