Tires went on no problems. Actually not all that different from the 37s, not as much as I was expecting anyway. Side by side off the rim on the ground they were a good amount wider and taller, but the fenderwells swallowed them right up. The ride is about the same with just a little more sidewall flex and tire hum (the kumhos were basically silent). Driving it it feels basically the same, just a little more lean around tight corners. In person they do look big, but proportionately about the same as 35s on a normal body truck. Overall I am happy with them and no regrets.

My camera took a swim a while back so now all my pics are fuzzy, anyway here it is.

Thanks, I am happy with it and glad to hear the compliments. The fiberglass is generally either a love it or hate it, and I get both views. It is hard to tell they are 38s until there is something near it to compare to. After I put the fiberglass on a lot of people started asking about it everywhere I went. In person no one guessed it had 37s because everyone assumes a truck on 37s or 38s looks huge.

Here is a picture from right after I put on the 37s. They looked tiny. I ended up lowering the tbars about 20 turns, pulling out the shackles and cutting an inch off the 4 BL blocks under the rear of the bed to make it more proportional. I may put the shackles back on the rear now since the springs are finally settling.

(How sad is it this pic was taken with the same camera as the ones today)

Thanks. We are close enough. I try to check up on HRR, even if I don't post. Next time we have a local meet I will try to make it, its been awhile.

I love the color but hate the flares. That color is beautiful though.

Yeah, they don't mesh quite right with the fiberglass. I need something that looks/functions decent with an 8" drop hitch though. It looks way better without the hitch on the back.

Thought you loved the 37s

I won't won't ever claim it will hold up to abuse or be practical, or even suggest the setup. It works for what I need though. Trips to lowes, chilling on the beach, pulling the jetski, and commuting to work when it rains...slowly. Thats about it. As long as there is no ice on the road or more gear than will fit in a backpack I will be on my bike.

I was hoping to pick up at least one spare rim for one of the extra tires, but they quit making them in 18s for our pattern right after I got them. So if you guys ever come across one let me know!

oh i love the crap out of them, just dont think im going to find a sweet deal for some almost new 37's next time come around soooo prob just going to go back to 35's, i drive the heck out of my truck so in due time im sure something will break before too long, the wearing is just bound to happen to a truck with 65k on it and being lifted since it had about 20k

Yeah if I had to drive the truck drove the standard 15k+ a year it would be 35s.

Since the shackles I had are on Steve' truck now I picked up another set today. I think its about the millionth time I have adjusted the tbars and the adjuster bolt actually snapped in half. Luckily I had an extra so it was no big deal, just a little surprising. I had the rear sitting a litttle lower and its back leveld up now. Kate walked up to get in today and her eyes were level with the bottom of the window, it was an interesting perspective.
